Its an Islamic form of art , where Muslim artists developed through images of vines, flowers and lines into a complex , impressive art form. Such type of art is considered biomorphic, basically patterns or shapes resembling nature and living organisms. This form of Art carries a very different notion about Arts found in Western culture at the time. Islamic Religion played a major role in the arabesque's evolution. When Islam rose and spread in the Middle East around 700 AD, it came with regulations prohibiting illustrations of creatures like humans and animals. As a result, Islamic artists instead based their imagery on geometry, calligraphy (the art of beautiful writing), and the arabesque. Such aspects didn't have detectable creatures, so they could be used to unique precisive spaces without depending on bold figural arts.
